A site-specific sound art installation created for this suspension bridge. The installation consists of two components: (1) audio speakers mounted at two listening stations on the bridge's towers playing Joseph Bertolozzi's original "Bridge Music" on-demand at the touch of a button, and (2) FM stereo transmission 24 hours a day on 95.3FM within the parks surrounding the bridge. Mr. Bertolozzi composed music by gathering sounds from the surfaces of the Mid-Hudson Bridge; he did the same at the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France and is at work creating more music.
